What to Expect During Your Appointment
How does it work?
After applying an anaesthetic cream and/or injecting a local anaesthetic, the doctor uses a very fine needle to Create a small track in the labia skin. Then a needle-less technique using a blunt end canula is used to deposit the filler product superficially, just under the skin. Using a blunt end canula allows minimal damage to the labia keeping the procedure very safe.
How much filler can someone require?
For starters usually 1ml of filler is used on each side of the labia ie 1 ml of the left labia and 1 ml on the right labia hence 2ml of filler in total. A maximum of 3ml of filler in each side can be used to create enough plumping effect. Best to start with less and then add more as it would be more difficult to remove filler then to progressively add more.
Is the effect immediate?
Once the filler is placed within the labia , it immediately occupies space and an immediate filled up effect can be appreciate. However at the about 3 month from the produce then the maximal effect of the filler will be produced.
When do I have to see the doctor again after the filler procedure?
You next appointment will commonly be 2 weeks from the day of the procedure. This is to check the filler position, to see more filler may be required and to ensure then the labial skin is healthy.

FAQ
What is hyaluronic acid?
Most hyaluronic acid are extracted from pathogenic bacteria, however labia fillers are extracted from fermentation of a bacteria belonging to a class of probiotic with no potential to cause infection. The more concentrated the more robust the filler. Fillers are cross linked with material like PEG (polyethylene glycol) to create a complex matrix , imagine a scaffolding architecture within the gel. PEG has a lower toxicity and higher safety profile compared with other cross-linking agent used to date. Nourishing molecules can be incorporated into the matrix of these filler to allow their gradual release over time to rejuvenate the skin.
Will there be any complications in this treatment?
Treatment with Hyaluronic acid fillers is repeatable, has virtually no complications and is reversible.
