Laser Cautery

Commonly Used To Remove

HPV Wart

Molluscum Water Wart

Common Wart

Pearly Penile Papules

Skin Mole / Skin Tag

How does this procedure work?

CO2 ablation lasers are used to remove the undesired lesions. We recommend laser removal as it produces one of the lowest rates of recurrences. The ablation also helps to keep the wound sterile and clean. Bleeding is very minimal and well-controlled.

The precision of laser also reduces damage to the surrounding healthy tissues, which is more common in freezing or cryo techniques.

What can I expect after the procedure?

You may see some charring over the area where the lesions have been removed. The char will fall off over the next few days and the skin will heal completely over 1 -2 weeks.

We encourage you to apply antibiotic cream over the wound for the next few days to prevent infection. You can otherwise carry on with all your usual activities. If you have wounds over the genital areas, we advise you to abstain from penetrative sexual intercourse until the wounds have healed.

How long does the procedure take?

It only takes a few minutes to remove the skin lesions. More time may be taken if you have more lesions.

How many sessions are required?

A single session is usually sufficient.

We have encountered cases where there is extensive involvement of the genitals, such as viral HPV warts. In these cases, 2 sessions may be required to complete the entire removal.

Who is not suitable for this procedure?

This is a safe procedure for most individuals.

We advise you to inform us if you are on string blood thinners like warfarin, clopidogrel, dabigatran or rivaroxaban as more bleeding can be expected.

What should I prepare before the procedure?

Do note that we will use inject a local anaesthetic or topical cream based local anaesthetic to numb the target area prior to the procedure.

Are there any side effects?

There could be some scarring after the laser removal. This will largely depend on whether you are predisposed to scarring. If you tend to scar with hypertrophic scars or keloids then we would advise you to use a scar cream early.

Often the laser wounds heal beautifully without significant scarring.

What is the cost of this procedure?

The total cost of the procedure would depend on the extent and size of the lesions.

Our laser skin lesion removals typically start at $150. Send us a picture of the area involved to get a better estimate on the cost.

I'd spent a while trying to find a general practitioner in Singapore with some very, very mixed results (although I will admit to being a difficult patient sometimes). Dr. Jess was recommended to me when I suffered an acute condition and I can't believe how lucky I am to have found her when I did. She has that fantastic ability to be both amazingly friendly and approachable whilst still being incredibly knowledgeable, professional and focused on getting the best outcome possible for your health needs at the same time. As someone who has a background history in medical research and teaching medical students, I'm constantly impressed with the way Dr. Jess has always used both trusted, conservative methods whilst also being up to date with new techniques and the latest knowledge, and will research for answers and present it in a manageable, down-to-earth and tailored way - or recommend excellent specialists when required. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and she would be my doctor of choice no matter where I lived in Singapore. Also worth mentioning is that her staff are always very polite, friendly, competent and go out of their way to be helpful. I don't write reviews very often, but five incredibly well deserved stars.

Last week (13th Feb 2020) was my first visit to this clinic. I was very impressed and satisfied with InSync Medical Women's Clinic. Dr. Jess was very attentive and detailed in examining my situation. Her explanation was very clear and understandable. With her patience, I was able to ask lots of questions and understand my situation much better than before. (Thank you, Dr. Jess) Price wise, it is reasonable and I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic. Again, thank you!

Dr Jess is an amazing doctor with a beautiful heart. What I really love about her is that is super realistic. She does not promise rapid/fake results. She is very humble and I really like it that spent her time to talk and explain to me about my condition in detail. I have been to so many other doctors for the same. They will just talk briefly and try to push me to start the treament on the spot / nurses will start discussing on pricing.Wasted my time and money in the wrong clinic before. However, Dr Jess is just different. She is not greedy. Very helpful and high level of professionlism and empathy. And her staff Hani is super sweet too. Customer service top notch. Sometime I send message so late when i need something urgently. Hani will still reply to me patiently. I am so lucky I finally found the best doctor and her assitant for my lady needs 🙂 . I only have one regret-I didnt find them earlier.
